i have attempted several times to create some sort of psy-trance-ish/dance type music to no avail. here is what i am working with: GARAGE BAND. i freakin hate garage band. its stupidly hard to use. adobe audition was easier, shit. anyway. i just randomly created a song just now, in about an hour, laying down a bunch of sweet loops that i felt went well together. i've finally created my sort of psy-trance-dance song! i also wrote some sort of lyrics/poem as i sat in the train station today. i don't think i'm going to turn it into a song. i'll probably just record it as spoken word, with maybe some ambient stuff in the background.
oh, and since i saw people discussing their techniques and crap...
the way i do record time is basically the way a little kid does anything: when i feel inspired or bored, i'll start to create something. i have no direction whatsoever. its fun :)
